Welcome
Welcome to Mind Body Movement with Christine, connecting the mind to the body through tai chi, qigong and mindfulness.
Explore the concepts of ease, stillness, purpose and the deep awareness of mind and body. Tai chi and qigong are low impact movements which can improve physical health, balance, coordination and flexibility, all while providing stress reduction and mindful relaxation to your being. Based in ancient Chinese healing arts, tai chi, qigong and mindfulness can be performed at any age and ability, making it an ideal exercise for every stage of life.
My style and choices come from over 20 years of study and training in Tai Chi, Qigong, mindfulness and movement physiology. I created the Tai Chi Qigong Mind Body Movement program with the intention of it being easy to follow, whether you have previous experience or completely new.
Offering weekly classes, special events, and meaningful workshops.

Qigong for Winter
Winter ~ a time when the land withdrawals, life slows its pulse and everything turns inward. It is the concentrated, internal force of winter that enables a seed to burst forth in spring growth. With Winter’s rest, there is work going on, but inside as energy is collected and held in reserve. In Winter your body naturally slows its pace, craves warmth and nourishment. You seek reflection over action and release old layers. The Winter season teaches you to listen beneath the surface, to the balanced contentment of your inner stillness. Winter is for your body to restore its deep reserves, replenishing Yin Qi through your Kidney Meridians. Your body needs movement in the Winter Season, using Wu Wei or effortless effort for easy flow and support. The Water Element holds your depth, your stillness and your soft strength during this season. The Bear Spirit of Winter is about slowing down and storing your resources, as well as bringing you courage over your fears. Winter is for rooting in not reaching out. Allow the energy of Winter to be deep and potent.
This Winter Season I invite you to pause, reflect, and deeply listen to your inner knowing.
